Last day with ARAMARK

Today was my last day with ARAMARK at OKCPS. It was a sad day to say the least. I got up and put full makeup on hoping that it would help me from crying all day. Well no it didn't matter I was going to cry no matter what so it was a waste of time this morning. My mom made breakfast for my team and it was nice to have that to share with my ARAMARK workers. I started in January 2004 and seem like I have been there since I started working in 1992. My ARAMARK co-workers have been the best people to work for.
Gary- Quick on his feet and his sayings I will remember always.
Dennis- My big brother no matter what. I loved giving him a hard time and was good at it. I will miss Dennis. Thanks for great years and Thank you for serving our Country like you do.
Jeff- Thank God you came along. I was about to just go nuts with the Grounds department. You are a wonderful man and very talented. It was great working with you.
Leon- My other Dad it seemed like. He always called me CJ and I like it. Leon you are a fantastic person and have a great since of humor. You will be missed. I will learn Gary's Chick song and call you up to sing one day.
Jim- Oh Jim. You are so funny and so much fun to be around. You always knew what to say and always made me feel better no matter what. Thank you.
Steve- Oh boy Steve... Man you are just a Nut. You made coming to work so much fun and enjoyable. You have so much energy and you bring it with you always. Thanks for the talks we had and the laughs we shared. I will miss you.

Then it was off to talk with Robin....That is when the tears started. Robin has been like another mother to me and she is such an amazing person and has strong spirits. I will miss her a lot. Like her card said we are just playing hid and seek, I'm just going to be a little harder to find. Love you Robin and will miss you muches.

Then it was on to Lonzetta....Tears again...What do I say about Zetta. She always has a smile on her face no matter what life throws at her. She is taking care of her mother and working full time. She has been an inspiration to me over the last 5 1/2 years. Zetta you have blessed me in so many ways. Along with Robin you have been my other mother and I will miss you so much. Just remember that "Joe's Crab Shack...I got a pound of crabs for you fried or raw just let me know" LMAO I will always remember each and every one of you no matter where I end up.

When God shuts a door he always opens another one. I just have to wait and see when that door opens for me but I know it will. Thanks again to all my ARAMARK co workers and to all my OKCPS workers. I will miss you all. Love to each of you and keep in touch.

I love SMILEBOX!!

Misty took Hayden and I on a photo shoot in May. I did not have any good pictures of Hayden and I that I didn't take myself. She did a fantastic job and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for the best pictures ever.

Smilebox is so much fun. I love this app that my Mom happened to come across and sent to me. Check out smilebox.com and make cool scrapbook, slides, cards and more to share with family and friends. Here are a few that I made from the wonderful pictures Misty took. You need a photographer Call Misty Marie Steed. Or email me and I'll pass on her info to you.

First Rejection Letter Ever!!!!

So I have been looking for a job for a few weeks (really hours) now and I applied at The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools. I have worked with the Ladies over the for the past year and they are AWESOME! So when they had a position open I applied for it. Along with getting an FYI about the job as well. So with that I submitted my resume to The Foundation. Mind you I have never applied for a job before in my LIFE. Yes I said it never applied for a job. Not that it's something that I am proud of just on my own have never applied for a job. So all my job's have been thru either my dad's staffing service or how I got this job thru Talent Tree Staffing. So to say the least I was excited when I got my first rejection letter. Not that its really a rejection but kinda is. Robyn with the Foundation called me Monday to let me know personally before I got the letter. I love you Robyn! She has been so wonderful to work with and will miss her and all my girls at the Foundation dearly. So since I was so excited about this letter I had to blog about it. I did get a nice hand written extra note on it that said " Thank you for being such a good friend to The Foundation" No matter what I will still help with the Foundation as I can.

So my job hunt continues. The position I applied for with ARAMARK in Texas has been filled as well but they are to contact me about another one they have in mind. I will have to see what that is and what the pay is to make the move. I am a bit excited about the thought of moving. I have never lived anywhere but OKC and no more then about 10 min from my Family (ie Parents and sister) I told ARAMARK that I would be willing to relocate but with restrictions. I would go anywhere in Texas due to the fact that I have family all over Texas so would still be close to someone. Or no more then an 8 hour drive from OKC. Being a single mom I still wanted to be able to come on and spend a weekend with my parents and friends. Now I am excited about Temple Texas, It's (per Map quest) Temple to OKC 5 hours 6 Min... Temple to Austin (where my cousin is) 1 hour 11 in... and then Temple to San Antonio (where my Aunt, Uncle and Grandmother are) 2 hours 27 min. That to me is perfect all the way around. I could spend a weekend with my Cousin Nicole and then the following weekend with My Grandmother, Uncle and Aunt Fon, then come home the weekend after that.
Now I know you are thinking what about Hayden and what about Scott and what about my parents and what they think. Well.................
Hayden: He would stay with my parents for a bit while I found a place and got settled in. Then he would come with me there and it would be the two of us again.
Parents: All for it!! Well at least my mother is all about it. She would miss Hayden and myself of course but thinks its a great move and the perfect timing to do it. Daddy not to sure really but thinks it better then St. Louis when I mentioned that to him.
Scott: He is not to happy about this at all. He does not want to move but would move with us if that was the only job I found and it was worth the move. He would not come down right away either and I would not expect him to. I would hope that he would find a job and then move down. I would all ready have the house all he would have to do is come on down.

Please pray for me and my family at this time. It will be a hard decision and choice to make for myself. I will keep you posted on everything and what I find. Also if you hear of any job opening let me know.

SodexHO!!! Rant.

So I have 23 working days left here at OKCPS. This week Sodexho or the "HOES" like we call them have been here. THEY ARE RUDE!!! This guy comes in yesterday to introduce me to some chick that will be helping them and then DEMANDS (oh hell no) that I answer her questions. 1. NO one DEMANDS anything from me 2. I don't work for you ass 3. I don't have to do anything.

Oh that just set me off yesterday. My own boss doesn't even DEMAND things from me. Hayden is the only person who can demand something from me because well he is 3.

So with the HOES around its a bit strange. I will answer questions for them the best that I can but I WILL NOT AND REFUSE TO BEND OVER BACKWARDS FOR THESE HOES. I mean I will be professional so don't think I'm going to trip out, but I mean really. WTF was the district thinking... OH WAIT THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO THINK (Debra and Amanda I love you all) ARAMARK has been here at OKCPS for 10 years. We have done nothing but do our best to make this the best school district in OKC. Now some things we have not been able to do but its not ARAMARKs fault its OKCPS they will not fork over the money to fix things right. They just want to pity around the situation because all they care about it the money that goes in to their pockets. I have now been instructed by my POM Manager to direct the "HOES" to him. They are to ask him for things and not me. Now if any of my Managers or my boss ask me to do something for them that I will do no matter what. But the "HOES" can just sit back and keep staying away from me.

I have 6 days of PTO that I will be taking so will be in and out of the office over the next 23 days. Wish me luck over the next 23 days that we ALL can handle the "HOES"
