My Man

Ok so I'm going to brag again about my man Scott and how wonderful he is....
We talked a few weeks ago about OU basketball and how I have never been to a game. He without me knowing (until last week) that he talked with his uncle about getting us tickets to a game. His uncle is good friends with Alex the OU basketball trainer and he talked with him about getting us some tickets to the OU/Nebraska game. Let me tell you for my first OU game I had the best seats in the world. They were on the floor (no one in front of us fan wise) just the sooners!!! OMG it was so AWESOME. Now to be honest I was not really looking forward to going since I don't really care about basketball but was excited to go and spend time with Scott. That has now changed. I will be taking Hayden to a game soon he would LOVE it. I will post pictures when I can get them off my phone.. but here is a pic of Scott and I at the game in our seats.

Update on my life....

So update on things going on.

1. I have the best sitter in the world. Saturday was my sisters shower and I had Kathleen come and watch Hayden. I have known Kathleen since she was 2 and is now 14. Hayden just loves Kathleen to death. I get home from the shower and she is cleaning the dishes. Now I do hope and expect my sitters to wash the things they use or at least rinse them off but she got after everything in my Kitchen. The stove, Microwave and silverware holder. she also said she would come over on Monday (ML King day) and clean what ever else I needed to get done so I could sleep or run errands etc. (Hayden was in school) I just love Kathleen and she is so caring, loving and thoughtful. My best sitter!


2. My sisters Shower was this past Saturday and it has hit me that she is getting married. We talked about it for the last year but now that its a month away and we had a shower for her it's hit home. It was a nice Tea Party at the country club with a lot of my Parents and Cash's parents friends. She has another shower on the 7th. that Kelly Knol and Lauren Manis are hosting for her. (what great friends we have) Never thought I would say Kelly is a friend of my sister because growing up well Kelly was my friend and we didn't do much with Leigh. Strange how things change over the years as we get older and not think so much that she is my baby sister. I am happy that my friends are my sisters friends. Makes time together so much fun.


3. I am going to my first OU basketball game tonight with Scott. I said something in conversation that I had never been to one so he got us tickets and we are going tonight. (honestly I have never been because I'm not that much into basketball like I am football) But I'm excited to go and cant wait. It will be a lot of fun.



4. My son came home yesterday and was talking about Dr. Martin Luther King and Obama. When asking him who the president was he said Dr. martin Luther King. I just laughed and then asked well who is that (pointing to the picture of Obama) Hayden said that's some dead man that died a long time ago. LMAO I could not help it. I tried to explain that it was the other way around but its not registering with him. But for a 3 year old and to remember something like that is great what a smart kid.



5. Hayden's 3rd birthday is Monday the 26th!! MY GOSH its been 3 years and my baby is growing up so fast. Since its on a Monday he will have cupcakes at school and then off to Chuck E Cheese that night with family and friends to play and get tired so we can come home and go to bed! Yea right I can only wish cant I. When asking Hayden what kind of cake he wanted he said "spiderwarssponge cake" WHAT??? That is Spiderman, Star Wars and Sponge bob all together. SO I played it off a bit and asked him again today what he wanted and he wanted a "spider wars cake" so I decided that his cupcakes at school would be star wars and his cake at night would be spider man or visa verse what ever... that way he gets both of what he wants and we are all happy.

So I think that is about everything to get you up to date on my life and what is going on. Busy Busy Busy.... Ill breath in June sometime...

A Bitch!

Ok so my boss talked to me about getting things from people in a timely manner and he told me that I needed to be.....ready get this....."A BITCH" that's right just what I said... Ok so you don't know me that well. just kidding.. no I need to be more of a bitch when it comes to getting things from people around here. Again I thought HMMMM how can I do this. Well I have a sticker that say "saw it, wanted it, had a fit, GOT IT" that is so me and he said I needed to apply that to my work. So I now have a BITCH card that I made to hold up with I am in the roll and to watch out. This is going to be so much fun. I know there are limits to what I can do when it comes to being a bitch to people and getting things but when it comes to everyday laughter in my office... oh this will be great.

I have so much fun with my managers and boss everyday that they come up with stuff and then think oh crap we offended Carly.. You cant offend me. A few weeks ago we went thru CERT training to help with disaster relief and they talked about kotex being a great thing to have in our bag to help stop the bleeding of victims. So at our meeting and on to lunch today things were said (in fun) that cut open wounds or made new ones on all of us (6 men and me) that my boss said that we needed to get an extra box of Kotex just for the office.

Then Dennis tells us that he (a military Sargent) used to put a pad in his hat when he was out in the heat because it was great absorbent for the sweet. I died laughing!!! Oh what a day today has been. I am so happy with my job and those that I work with. I am always wanting to rearranged my office (i work in a warehouse not much you can do) and asked my boss if we get renewed can I change things in our office and make it better looking and functional... he told me why do you have to wait...get on it be a BITCH and do what you need to do.... so tomorrow I get to move furniture and make the ARAMARK office the best looking (creative decorated) office in a nasty warehouse and my boss wont say shit to me about it.

I LOVE WHAT I DO AND ON TOP OF IT ALL I GET TO BE A BITCH AND ITS OK!!!!!

One F'ing Year ago today!!!!

So today January 10th 2008 was a good day for me. I had spent the last 9 months fighting for what I wanted when it came to Hayden. It was official I got everything I wanted (but the name change) It was about 3:00pm on a Friday after noon and I was so excited I didnt know what to do. Shawn had nothing and I had it all Full legal custody of my baby and all the stress, fighting had finaly paid off. So in my excitement I agreed to let Shawn see Hayden that night. (mind you before this date the last time he had seen Hayden was April 22nd '07) So I meet him at Mc Donalds on Classen and Expressway. They ate dinner and he never once looked at me or said more then 5 words to me. (whatever didnt matter to me) So we meet there at 5:30 and were outa there by 7.

Since then Shawn has tried to contact us to set up visitations (only with my parents and when and where its convient for my parents) and he NO SHOWED... that was in July then we did not hear from him again until December 20th and again he never replied to us trying to set something up.

So it is January 10th, 2009 and its been 1 full year since Shawn has seen Hayden. Now dont get me wrong I wish Shawn would man up and be a father because when he was in his father roll and just focused on Hayden he was great... but he was just a total ass to me and an acoholic and I would not put up with it anymore. Even thought Hayden has not seen his "birth father" God blessed us with a perfect man. Scott and I met in March of '08 and he is the best father Dad Hayden could ever have. I am truly blessed that he is in our life and willing to step up where Shawn left off and be the Father/Dad Hayden needs in his life.

So for that Today has been a WONDERFUL day.
Bet you I will hear from Shawn around maybe Hayden's birthday on the 26th or Fathers day when he all of a sudden gets a guilty soul and thinks oh shit let me be a father for a day then when he calles and we set something up.. he will just do it again and come up with a lame excuse on why he cant make it or he will just not call at all.

Ok done venting... Wonderful Day 1 year later...

Sad day in OKLAHOMA!

I got this email this morning from a good dear friend of mine (who is a Texas fan mind you) and she just knows how to push my buttons....but its all out of Love and compassion for me. So Karen thanks for making a dark sad day darker...but I love you anyways. Just thought i would share. Nothing else positive to write about today.

Christmas/New Years

So it's here 2009! Wow never thought I would see this year come after last year. But its here and it's going to be the best year I can make it be. SO I have been off work for 2 weeks now and let me tell you I am ready to get back to work on MONDAY. I love being off don't get me wrong just time to get back to normal.
